FAQ’s

Do I need to be an experienced photographer to attend?

Nope! This workshop is designed for all levels — whether you are a hobbyist or have years behind the lens. You'll leave with practical tools, inspiration, and content to grow your portfolio.

What’s included in the ticket price?

Your ticket includes education, headshots, access to two fully styled shoots, light refreshments on Day 1, and edited photos from behind-the-scenes moments. We’re keeping this workshop intimate so each attendee can get real value.

Will I get to use the styled shoot photos in my portfolio?

Yes! All attendees can use the images for their website, portfolio, and social media — just be sure to credit all vendors and models involved. Publication rights will be discussed case-by-case.

Do I need to bring my own gear?

Yes, please bring your camera and lenses of choice. We recommend natural light setups, but you’re welcome to bring anything that helps you shoot comfortably and creatively.

Are refunds available if I can’t attend?

Deposits are non-refundable. Any payments made after your non-refundable retainer is eligible to receive a refund for any additional amount paid beyond the deposit. Please email me at melodeyrosephotography@gmail.com if you are unable to attend.

What happens if the weather is bad?

We’ll adjust as needed based on conditions, but the workshop will still happen rain or shine. Backup indoor options or modified shoot plans will be shared ahead of time if the forecast looks rough.

Is food included?

Light refreshments and drinks will be provided on Day 1. For Day 2 meals, you’ll be free to explore nearby spots or bring your own snacks between sessions.

Can I come just for the styled shoots?

At this time, I will not be opening tickets for the styled shoot portion. There are limited tickets to the workshop to keep this event intimate and exclusive!

How will we receive our photos?

You’ll get a downloadable gallery of your headshots and behind-the-scenes images. Any styled shoot photos you take are yours to edit and use, with vendor credits included.

Do you provide travel or lodging accommodations?

Travel and lodging are not included in the workshop ticket. Attendees are responsible for booking their own transportation and stay. We recommend staying in the Honolulu or central Oʻahu area for easy access to both days of the workshop. Another helpful way to save on travel and lodging is to carpool with a friend attending the workshop/staying with them if they are so kind.
